Ok, we hope we've done a good job of luring you in with some fairly manageable challenges and decently fun in-person workouts thus far. Are you ready to step it up a little in March?
This month is really going to test your ability to get uncomfortable but we promise that, as always, you will come out of it a better, stronger and healthier person if you stick it out.
March is about realizing the power and potential of just what can be done in 1-minute or less. From the decisions we make, to the little actions that make big differences, and the seemingly small steps that can compound out to large jumps in progress or change. In addition to that, we're going to challenge you to get really uncomfortable, but just for one minute at a time..

Healthy Habit
Take a 59 second COLD shower every night in March just before climbing into bed.
Option A: start warm/hot and then finish with 59 seconds of cold
Option B (for the truly brave): start and finish with 59 seconds of cold (aka 'cold only shower')
The list of benefits are long on this one but more importantly, it will significantly boost your ability to do hard things. For those of you who haven't tried this already, you will see what we mean real fast. On top of that, it leans into the habit stackingwe discussed last month by contributing to improved sleep. Win-win.

Group Workout
400m ruck
100 pushups
400m ruck
100 ground to overhead
400m ruck
100 burpees (eww)
400m ruck
This workout is going to be different in nature than the last two. January was a long, slow haul. February blended in some strength movements. March is going to test your ability to stick with it and keep moving until the work is done.
Don't be thrown off by the large number of repetitions. Remember - small bites finish big meals. You will get through it and you'll feel better for it afterward, especially when you do it alongside your fellow Collective members. And if you are a little intimidated by the workout - good. That means it's probably going to do the trick of making you uncomfortable. Lean in, that's what we're doing this for.
*We have sandbags, kettlebells, and rucks if needed. Please reach out to let us know if you need something for resistance. Also, if you have extra, please bring some out for your fellow collective members to share as well.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for being involved in what we're trying to build here. The Health Collective is better just by you being a part of it.
Better you. Better me. Better we.
